While spending a night or two in Tanjung Tinggi area, your choice of food is limited...whether it's something that really simple like instant noodles or seafood. My choice...without doubt... is seafood definitely. There are some seafood restaurants in Tanjung Tinggi, some of them are located right in front of the beach. How cool is that!! We gotta eat with some view...a really beautiful one indeed. Ms.AH and Mr.HATT choose randomly this one place named RM.Congbu. This is the view that we got.
Like any other side of Tanjung Tinggi beach, here in front of RM.Congbu we looked right through a very crystal like water and powdery sand. The view is very pretty but need a little more maintenance IMHO. Ok...enuff 'bout the view chitty chatty....let's move on to the seafood galore. Check this pic below!
Was it a seafood galore? Well, there were only the two of us and that was all we could munch, not really much to be called as seafood galore 😅😅 What we had here....one big grilled fish called Ilak. This Ilak fish is a local type of fish from Belitung sea if I'm not mistaken. Let's hope I'm not getting the wrong information and spread it to the world...Back to Ilak,we had it grilled in two ways....bumbu kuning and kecap. The highlight of this Ilak fish for me is the firm flesh texture that tasted nothing like fish. The fish tasted more like chicken and it didn't have fishy smell at all.
The other two dishes are shrimps in sweet soy sauce and deep fried squids. Both were very fresh but I'm not really a fan of its seasoning. I just enjoyed how fresh all the seafood tasted. I have no complaint for the restaurant though, considering the view and freshness of the food, a bit lack of seasoning is forgiven! However, for eatery in this kind of area, Ms.AH think that the food's price is high. Mr.HATT need to pay around IDR.300.000 something for our food. But hey, we are on holiday....just eat, enjoy, and don't think hahaha!
